On the 5th of February 2016, Radio Khwezi attended the presentation of the Nature Life Environment Award to the Inkatha Freedom Party president Inkosi Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

On the 14th of January 2016 two of Radio Khwezi’s Journalists went to visit Tshutshutshu Secondary school in the Mabomvini area.

On the 4th of February 2016, Rhino Gas and Oil exploration held another meeting about there plans to frack in the natal area.

uMzinyathi Municipal District

On the 29th of January Radio Khwezi attended the uMzinyathi Municipal district in Dunndee where a new mayor was to be elected, after the resignation of Mayor Rev J M Mthethwa. The meeting quickly turned to chaos and had to be suspended. A later date still has to be set.

Development Project in Msinga.

On the 28th of January 2016, Radio Khwezi attended a meeting in the Msinga district.

Battle at Isandlwane

On the 23rd of January 2016, Radio Khwezi attended the commemoration of the Anglo-Zulu war battles of Isandlwana, in Nquthu. The event had special guests such as, King Goodwill Zwelinthini, The IFP leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi, KZN Premier Honorable Senzo Mchunu. There were a number of other Government officials, and political affiliates who also attended the event.

With a large attendants of the local community and people from around KZN, the day was special, and reminded people where we came from.
