Khwezi hands-on in various sports tournaments

The KwaZulu-Natal Netball Super League ended on a high note with mouth-watering clashes in Richards Bay on Sunday, the 15th of October. The matches by the provinces 15 teams culminated on a spectacle at Umhlathuze'S Sport complex.

The games played with a high tempo left spectators spellbound. Rivalry between the opponents in the court was also felt in the stands. Amongst the dignitaries attending the grand finale included Netball South Africa's president Mimi Mthethwa Zulu, the Kingdom Stars manager Phindile Dlamini and district chairpersons.

Other participants were males top 4 teams out of the 8 that competed from the beginning of the season. The winners in the men's category who walked away with R 25 000 were Ziphozonke; the gold medalists from Richardsbay beat Durban's Ocean Predators. The Bronze medalists were uMhlathuze Sharks.

Durban was able to redeem its pride through its cream de la cream-Gilbert stars in the ladies category. The Gold medalist from La Lucia saw off Ziphozonke while EThekwini's Puma's were bronze medalist.
